Open Architecture

Angle Incorporated provides direct engineering management support to the Open Architecture (OA) Office in the US Navy's Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS). Angle is providing expertise in OA standards, implementation concepts, acquisition policy, and enterprise wide approaches to enable and implement OA across Air, Surface, C4I, Space and Subsurface warfare systems. We are also providing business process concepts to bring commercial software and information systems approaches to implementing and supporting OA based systems, with emphases on cost avoidance and software component and artifact reuse. The OA initiative is a critical effort that is central to affordable modernization of fielded systems. OA stresses affordable procurement and life cycle maintenance for the Navy and all the Armed Forces' future combat management systems.
