a.  In accordance with FAR 8.404, before placing an order that exceeds the maximum order threshold, ordering offices shall –

 

(1)    Based upon the initial evaluation, generally seek price reductions from the schedule contractor(s) appearing to provide the best value (considering price and other factors); and

(2)   After price reductions have been sought, place the order with the schedule contractor that provides the best value and results in the lowest overall cost alternative (see FAR 8.404(a)).  If further price reductions are not offered, an order may still be placed, if the ordering office determines that it is appropriate.

 

  1. Vendors may:

 

(1)    offer a new lower price for this requirement (the Price Reduction clause is not applicable to orders placed over the maximum order in PES-52.216-19, Order Limitations.

(2)    Offer the lowest price available under the contract; or

(3)    Decline the order (orders must be returned in accordance with PES-52.216-19).

 

  1. A delivery order that exceeds the maximum order may be placed with the Contractor selected in accordance with FAR 8.404.  The order will be placed under the contract.

Minimum/General Experience: Nine (9) years of relevant professional experience in systems analysis and design; seven (7) years if the experience has been acquired at Angle or with a Master’s degree; or five (5) years with a Doctorate.   Broad knowledge of complex combat, shipboard, electronic or aerospace systems as well as management principles.

 

Functional Responsibility: Supervising and leading systems engineers, evaluating all phases of program, review and approval of deliverables using sound engineering and management principles to accomplish the research and/or development goals of technology programs and to perform overall management of the development and implementation of complex combat, shipboard, electronic or aerospace systems.

 

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or engineering in a related discipline from an accredited college or university; or eight (8) years relevant professional technical experience. Masters degree in the above disciplines desired.

 

 

Job Title: Senior Engineer

 

Minimum/General Experience: Five (5) years of relevant professional experience in systems analysis and design; three (3) years if the experience has been acquired at Angle; or with a Master’s degree or a Doctorate.  Broad knowledge of several of following:  complex combat, shipboard, electronic, or aerospace systems, CAD modeling, weapon system survivability, signature prediction, signal processing, simulation and modeling, test and evaluation or telecommunications.  Must function without supervision except for general policy and guidelines.

Functional Responsibility: Supports engineers in broad spectrum of programming functions and database design. Implements communication/computer systems in a phased approach; performs requirements analysis, review test steps for measuring product/system performance of computer networks; interpret test results and develop recommendations.

 

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer programming/science or engineering discipline; or Associate degree with industry or military certification in a computer programming/science or engineering discipline; or two years of experience and industry certification as Microsoft System Engineer or Novel Certified Network Engineer.

 

 

Job Title: Lead Analyst
